Review reading excerpts from web pages and documents together.
Open the notes list
On Mac, open Notes in the sidebar. On iOS, switch to Notes in Organize. Highlights, attached notes, and standalone notes from pages and documents appear together here.
On Mac, filter by All, Highlights, or Notes, and use search, source, and sorting controls. A highlight with a note appears in both Highlights and Notes, but counts once in All.
Read and edit
Click note text to edit it, or View Details to return to its source. On Mac, returning to the notes list preserves your search, filters, and scroll position.
On iOS, long excerpts appear as summaries by default. Tap Expand to read them in full. Collapsing an item doesn't shorten the text copied or shared.
Take an excerpt with you
Each excerpt offers Copy, View Details, and Share. Copy transfers text and its source elsewhere; Share creates an excerpt image.
