Share excerpts as images

Create an excerpt image#

1. Find the excerpt in the notes list and click Share.
2. Choose White, Warm Paper, Midnight, or Mist in the preview.
3. Check the excerpt, notes, and source details.
4. On Mac, save as PNG or use system sharing. On iOS, save to Photos or open the system share sheet.

What's included in the image#

The image includes the full excerpt, existing notes, source title, available page numbers, and recorded time. Long content exports as a full-length image, without being cut to the preview height.

A web excerpt's QR code links to the original article. A file note's QR code links to the Pocketify download page; it doesn't give recipients access to your local file.

Photos permission on iOS#

Saving to Photos requires permission for Pocketify to add photos. If denied, the preview stays available. Update system permissions and try again, or use system sharing.

Before sharing, check whether the image contains excerpts or personal notes you don't want to show others.
